We are two Bristol based friends who enjoy going out for motorbike rides and weekends. We would like to hear from other lesbian women from the South West who would like to ride out with us and develop a network.

Indigo Thur 16 Feb
February welcomes music back to Indigo with uplifting vocals from the gorgeous Heg Doughty. Join us at Goldbrick House for an evening full of folk, fizz and friends.
Indigo Thur 16 Feb
Loft, Goldbrick House
69 Park Street
Bristol
BS1 5PB
8 pm – 12 pm
£5 entry (incl glass of Prosecco before 10pm)
Heg has been touring the UK with her impressive ensemble, The Wolf Chorus, sharing her blend of dark tales and soaring melodies with an increasingly loyal fanbase. Fresh from an inspiring performance at The Union Chapel, Heg joins us for a special appearance. Heg injects storytelling into her songs, finding inspiration in her family tree, well known, and not-so-well-known stories. She draws her main influence from folk with elements of theatre and pop also working their way into the songs.
“Heg Doughty & The Wolf Chorus lift the spirits with their wind-in-sails fantasy pop. Heg’s piano motifs glide and pirouette in ballads imbued with fairy-tale whimsy.”
Crack Magazine
Indigo aims to showcase talented female performers, so we’re very pleased to host a special set from one of South West’s best musicians. To listen to Heg’s latest music visit her website: http://www.hegdoughty.com/
This February event runs to Indigo’s usual relaxed format, with hosts on hand to welcome new attendees. We saw over hundred attend our last music night, so arrive early to guarantee entry.

Two plays in one evening!
We are told there is a "lesbian twist" in this new offering from the Bierkeller Theatre.
Feb 5th-9th 2012 at the Bristol Bierkeller Theatre - All Saints Street- BS12NA. Doors open at 7:30pm for an 8:15pm showtime. Tickets are £10 in advance or £12.50 at the door. http://www.bierkellertheatre.com/#/gift-to-the-future/4558377999
The evening is in fact a double bill: 3 actors, 2 plays, 1 evening.
Shakespeare Unbound is a celebration of John Heminges’s magnificent achievement in preserving at least 18 of his friend’s plays for posterity and the audience is invited into his home as “ghosts of the future” as he recounts many anecdotes and stories of his life with the Bard in an informal manner, also reads several monologues illustrating various aspects of Shakespeare’s views and opinions.
As all biographies of Shakespeare it is of course a fiction but as one person remarked after a performance at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival “this play helped me to see Shakespeare as a real person”
The Lover, The Wife is a modern comedy which is based on a common theme; two women involved with the same man. The play views the situation entirely from the women’s point of view and follows their different stories. They come from different social backgrounds and would never have met but for Christine’s desire to find out who her husband’s mistress is.
As the play progresses, we learn more about Lydia’s and Christine’s backgrounds and they discover that deep-seated ideas can be challenged by understanding another person.
The final scene brings the women together in ways that neither imagined possible and is a celebration of the solidarity that women can share.
