Cllr Chris Windows is the proposed next Lord Mayor of Bristol, it's almost a done deal this petition is our last chance to get the issue debated within the council.

In 2010 Cllr Windows made negative remarks about Stonewall's visit to a local school - where they had been invited, by the council to help combat homophobic bullying. Windows said he was ''unhappy and a little disturbed” at the involvement of LGB equality charity Stonewall in local schools and "particularly the use of a certain leading actor as a potential role model for our impressionable young people." Later in the same debate he stated "I don't jump off of wardrobes and expect to be represented, these things should stay in the bedroom, where they belong". Remember this was in reference to Stonewall talking about homophobic bullying!
