Indigo Turs 16th May - Celebrating LBT Lives: In Memory of Debra Boyask

A relaxed drinks social for LBT women and their friends.

After April’s Sold Out book launch, May Indigo will be a more relaxed affair.

May Indigo is a regular drinks social up in the loft. Join us for drinks and delightful company up on our roof terrace. New guests very welcome.

8 pm – 12 pm

The theme for May’s event is celebrating Lesbian Communities…

Celebrating LBT Lives: In Memory of Debra Boyask

Some of you may have heard the sad news about the passing of Debra Boyask (aka Debra Teacake).

A hugely important local figure in the LGBT community, Debra was the founder of the lesbian network sociability (amongst many other things).

We are dedicating May Indigo to the memory of Debra, and will be collecting for the NSPCC at the event. Indigo for one owes a lot to her work and social spirit!

About the Night

8 pm – 8.45 pm: Icebreaker – Apples to Apples

Our icebreaker games are always popular, and a great way to meet and chat to new people. In celebration of Debra we’ll be playing her favourite game ‘apples to apples’. Apparently (!) it’s great fun, easy to play and whether you knew Debra or you not, is all about people interacting and laughing. Please arrive for 8 pm if you can.

8.45 pm – 9 pm: Tributes & Sociability Update

Do you know about Sociability? Friends of Debra and the team now running sociability will say a few words about Debra, about how the free online email network works, and about how you can get involved.

9 pm onwards: Regular Indigo Drinks

Please note that everyone is welcome to May Indigo. We hope it to be a positive and inspiring event. Perhaps you knew Debra, perhaps you didn’t. Either way please do come along and help us to celebrate the people who make a difference to our community.

We will be collecting for the NSPCC, Debra’s chosen charity on the night, we may even rustle up a raffle…

A Note For New Guests

Many new guests come each month, many of these arrive on their own. To find out more about Indigo, or if you’re coming alone, you can arrange to meet up with one of our friendly hosts at the event. Simply email Suzanne(at)indigonetwork.co.uk. Alternatively just turn up on the night, and we’ll make sure that we say hello!
