Invocal - Welsh Gig

All female acoustic quartet Invocal will be performing a rare Wales gig on April the 5th at The Chattery, Swansea - call 01792 473276 to book now - not to be missed!

Invocal are a four piece female acoustic band that perform with cello, guitar, clarinet and four harmonious voices. Their songs tell tales of modern life - with wry, theatrical humour, powerful and moving lyrics and (most days) expert musical prowess.

"This cute band from Northampton are caustic, funny, engaging and so damn harmonic they're hard to put down" - CURVE MAGAZINE

"The all female quartet boast tight, original and highly accomplished musicianship...and even when they sing angsty love songs they're lucid and quirky" DIVA MAGAZINE

“Being an EP, all four songs are outstanding and memorable. 'Ow' memorialises difficult, painful, awkward lesbian love; ‘Cheer Up Frowny Face’ is possibly the funniest song about depression an self-harm ever recorded, and demonstrates a wonderfully black sense of humour; 'Magic Tricks' is spooky and poetic; and 'Sweep and Sooty,' an attack on moronic TV culture, must get a cheer for the line ‘I'd rather be fat than be Gillian McKeith’.” THE RAINBOW NETWORK
